Meet Madeline
Madeline is a lighting designer (and proud wearer of many creative hats) born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She now calls Norman home as she completes her BFA in Drama with an emphasis in Lighting Design. Her spark for the craft ignited the moment she first experienced Alvin Ailey’s Revelations—a work that opened her eyes to the powerful storytelling of light in motion.
In college, Madeline discovered a deep passion for movement-driven art and quickly fell down the rabbit hole of dance lighting history, inspired by the groundbreaking designers who shaped the field. That curiosity—and a love of pieces that breathe, shift, and move—continues to guide her artistic voice.
When she’s not in the theatre, Madeline can be found playing a round of golf, cooking with friends and family, or relaxing at home with her cat, George, who has strong opinions about cueing but no formal training.
